The Alabama and Southeastern Region of the Patriot Guard coming to Prattville April 3-5 2009!

Welcome, members of the Patriot Guard!

The Alabama and Southeastern Region of the Patriot Guard will hold it's annual "Gathering of the Guard" right here in Prattville Alabama. The host hotel is The Holiday Inn on Cobbs Ford and I-65. There will be hundreds of bikers in the area that weekend. Members will be involved in scheduled rides, one to the State Capital on Saturday. Please be very careful and look out for motorcyclist moving around our city. Make the Patriot Guard Members feel welcomed and let them know they are appreciated for what they do.

Spring is finally here. Everything is greening up and the pollen is in a mad race with the rain. My black truck was yellow last week, before the rains, then it was all shiny and black, now it's brown from all the mud. We are in for another little cool snap then it will be over 100 degrees everyday and we will be hoping for some rain and temps like we have now. Get outside and enjoy this weather while you can. Talladega is not the only racing facility in Alabama.

Many tend to think this, but right here, in our own backyard is a premier stock car racing facility that not many race fans know about. The Montgomery Motor Speedway is located just off of Booth Road from Old Selma Road in the community of Catoma in Montgomery, Alabama. This track is a 1/2 mile paved oval with a complete pit road and newly constructed concrete grand stands with aluminum seats with backrest.

After a lengthily legal battle, MMS was granted a license to re-open the once thought lost race track and the new management is happy to announce that we are ready to go racing!

Our first event will be an Open Practice and Media Day on 11 April 2009 from Noon until Dark. All divisions will be testing and practicing all afternoon. Come on out and try our new concession stands and see the improvements we've made.
