Yep, we need the rain!     22 Aug 2008

Fay brings it in.

It's Saturday and because of the weather forecast due to Tropical Storm Fay, I didn't plan on doing anything of any significance today. Weather forecasters were saying that we are going to get lots and lots of rain and high winds, maybe even the chance of thunderstorms and the possibility of a tornado, Lord I hope not on the tornado thing! We really need the rain, but it sure makes for a lazy day when we do get some. Yes, I know we are like 10 inches short of the annual rainfall levels here in Alabama and Lord knows my yard could use the water, but it could have rained during the week when I was inside working, not on the weekend!

I'm not going fishing, or riding my motorcycle, working in my shop, or going to any races (It's Bristol weekend and it's been sold out for years). I got the grass cut earlier in the week, so the yard is done. I've replaced the kitchen faucet and the overhead light. I removed a partial drain blockage from our main sewage line. I replaced the shower head in the guest bathroom along with re-caulking the bathtub/shower for about the tenth time. Oh, my Air Conditioner stopped working so I had to call Mays Heating and Air to come out and look at it. They determined that my new coil has a leak that can't be repaired, so I'm waiting on one that is back-ordered. At least it's not 95 degrees outside. While I was looking at the air conditioner, I found that the drain line from it was also plugged, so I was back to working on the pipes again. Anyways, I'm done with all of my house chores and now I can't find anything to do.  Prattville Lion's first game of the year has been rained out tonight, so no early football. Oh well, at least I can watch the race on TV tonight at 7 pm if the cable doesn't go out, I mean the wind is blowing somewhat and it usually does when the lines move. I'm hoping that Kyle Bush has some major problems or a crash that doesn't hurt anyone because I'm tired of watching him win everything. I like Bristol Motor Speedway a lot. It's more like the kinds of tracks I'm used to, plus I was there back in April for the first time in about 20 years. Can you tell I'm going off on a tangent here? Anyway, IF the cable stays on, I plan on watching every lap. I'm a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan and hope that he does well tonight. It's something to look forward to.

In the mean time, I'm getting all of my laundry done and I've had some time to get all of my websites caught up to date. I'm thinking of redoing the J3 Office Automation Systems Web Site and the J3 Company Network Web Site needs some attention. Of course I have all of my member sites like Pete "The Greek" Graphics and Loose Nuts Racing. There is always something to update on The Front Porch Grill's menu. Since there is always a race somewhere, I have to go and make an entry on the A2Z Auto Racing site. I guess I'll have a few accomplishments for the day. Next I'm going to go out to the Prattville Guide Forum and do a little house cleaning there too. I also need to do a new Prattville Guide Newsletter for this week. I've got to check my emails at J3Company@Charter.net. Other than that, I'll just sit here and watch it rain and enjoy the cool breezes we are getting. Maybe I'll do something more significant tomorrow.
